Short Comprehensive 6 Test Panel (E2, Pg, T, DHEA, Morning & Evening Cortisol): This assessment is used for men and women who have many of the symptoms described above or are simply looking for an assessment of sex hormone levels. The Labrix saliva test is an FDA-Approved, easy non-invasive way of assessing your hormone balance. This information allows you to supplement hormones according to a plan tailored for only you. Well-balanced hormones regulate everything from reproduction to emotions, general health and well-being. An imbalance of any one hormone can throw your physical and mental health out of balance, causing aggravating and even serious health problems. The test itself is quite simple. Tubes are color coded, to match up with the time of day you should take the test. (Purple tube, 30 minutes after you wake up. Green tube, before lunch. Orange tube, before dinner. Blue tube, before bedtime). Fill each tube 3/4 full with saliva. Write down the date and time each sample was taken. Fill out the enclosed requisition form (front and back). Postage is prepaid, so simply mail in the kit. Labrix will run the testing, then once the test has been completed (takes 10-14 days once test arrives at Labrix), the results will be mailed out to the name and address you list on the requisition form. The results are printed in color and will show a graph of your daily cortisol levels along with each hormone you had tested and whether or not your levels are considered high, low, or within range. The results will also show an analysis of your levels completed by Labrix. After you have your levels, either keep them for your own personal records to repeat on an annual basis or follow up with you primary care provider for potential hormone replacement therapy adjustments.
