The Rembrandt Tulips were immensely popular in the Netherlands during the prosperous Golden Age, and their popularity never seems to wane. The striking colors look as if they have been applied with a paintbrush, which is why they have been named after Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669), one of the greatest Dutch painters of all time. These tulips are quite exceptional in the garden and are excellent for cutting.
