Use a damper stop clamp to lock your flue open when installing a new gas log set into an existing wood burning fireplace. If the damper is not open, the carbon monoxide cannot be exhausted up and out as it should. The damper clamp prevents homeowners from accidentally leaving the damper closed while running their new gas appliance.
