30+ Mix Cypress Vine Cardinal Creeper Seeds Ipomoea Quamoclit Flower Climbing Annual Garden

  • 30+ Mix Cypress Vine Cardinal Creeper Seeds, An annual liana-like plant. Curly stems, 1" (2-3 cm) long, with needle-like bright green leaves. The mix stellate flowers are 1" (2-3 cm) in diameter. Used for vertical decoration of balconies, terraces, hedges, and gazebos.
  • Nicking your red cypress vine seed with a knife or soaking them in warm water for two hours just before planting speeds germination. Direct sow at the rate of six to eight seeds per foot after the spring soil temperature reaches 70 degrees. Cover them with 1/4 inch of soil.
  • Germination typically occurs within two to three weeks. When their second set of true leaves appears, thin them to stand 1 foot apart. For heaviest flowering, water, when the top 3 inches of soil are dry and feed with a general-purpose fertilizer, applied according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Start the seeds indoors a month before your soil normally reaches 70 degrees. Plant them in 2-inch pots with drainage holes. Add sterile potting soil to within 1 inch of the rims, poke two seeds into each and cover them with one-quarter inch of the medium. Placing the pots in a sink with 1 inch of water for two or three hours lets the medium absorb moisture through the drainage holes without disturbing the seeds.
  • When they sprout, remove the glass and move the pots to a well-lit area out of direct sunlight. Water them well and keep them away from direct sun for three more days.
