Item description

NaturesSelectRx Energy & Stress Liquid Supplement 36oz.

NaturesSelectRx Energy & Stress provides a mega dose of B-vitamins in one ounce, plus Siberian Ginseng and Potassium. The number one health complaint in America today is lack of energy. B-complex vitamins provide a natural energy boost without stimulants. Learn why this unique formula is so potent and why many people include it in the daily regimen for good health!

Why take supplements in liquid form?
The answer is simple. Liquid Supplements have an absorption rate that is up to 10 times higher than a pill form. Your body simply has a harder time digesting the pills. Pills also contains unwanted ingredients added in order to bind the pill together.

Fillers and binding agents used in forming a pill can actually hinder the absorption rate. This greater bio-availability translates into two things:

1. You get more of the nutrient you need, so you benefit more
2. You also find that you benefit faster.

Liquid supplement users often report positive results within a few weeks compared to the two months or so reported by pill users.

Recent studies have also suggested that B-vitamins can improve cardiovascular health. B-vitamins are vital for the nervous system by helping the body rebound and deal with stress more efficiently, and in energy production by assisting in the conversion of food to energy. B-vitamins also contribute to mental health, acting as a natural antidepressants.

Ingredients:
Vitamin B-1
Also known as thiamin, helps fuel your body by converting blood sugar into energy. It keeps your mucous membranes healthy and is essential for nervous system, cardiovascular and muscular function. Women should have 1.1 milligrams every day, and men should have 1.5 milligrams every day. The best sources of Vitamin B1 are yeasts and liver. It's pretty rare in the United States for a person to be deficient in this vitamin. A lack of it can cause beriberi, a condition that involves confusion, muscle wasting, nerve problems and a rapid heartbeat. It's usually only seen in the United States in babies who are fed formula that isn't supplemented with Vitamin B1 or in people who drink large amounts of alcohol.

Vitamin B-2
Commonly called riboflavin, is one of eight water-soluble B vitamins. Like its close relative vitamin B1 (thiamine), riboflavin plays a crucial role in certain metabolic reactions, particularly the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar, which is "burned" to produce energy. In addition to producing energy for the body, riboflavin also works as an antioxidant by scavenging damaging particles in the body known as free radicals. These particles occur naturally in the body but can damage cell membranes, interact with genetic material, and possibly contribute to the aging process as well as the development of a number of health conditions such as heart disease and cancer. Unlike other B vitamins, riboflavin is not found in many foods, so the most common cause of deficiency is lack of dietary intake, especially in the elderly.

Vitamin B-3
Commonly called niacin and like all the B-complex vitamins, it is important for converting calories from protein, fat and carbohydrates into energy. But it also helps the digestive system function and promotes a normal appetite and healthy skin and nerves. Larger doses of niacin sometimes more than 1,000 milligrams a day have also been shown to reduce LDL cholesterol (the 'bad' cholesterol that clogs the heart's arteries) and triglycerides and raise HDL cholesterol (the 'good' cholesterol that prevents hardening of the artery walls). However, you should only take increased doses of niacin under the supervision of a physician. Women should have 15 milligrams each day and men should have 15 to 19 milligrams each day. Tryptophan is an amino acid that serves as a Vitamin B3 equivalent.

Vitamin B-5
Also known as Pantothenic Acid, is the anti-stress vitamin (water-soluble) and stamina enhancer. This vitamin plays an important role in production of adrenal hormones (adrenal glands). It is required for the formation of antibodies (immune system), and helps to convert carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into energy. Vitamin B5 is a component of coenzyme A, which is needed to carry out metabolic functions. Additionally, Vitamin B5 helps to produce neurotransmitters required for proper nerve and muscle performance. A deficiency of Pantothenic acid may cause fatigue, psoriasis, and headache. Vitamin B5 is often used to treat the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis; swelling, pain, and stiffness.

Vitamin B-6
Also known as pyridoxine, it is part of the B group vitamins, is water-soluble and is required for both mental and physical health. Pyridoxine is required for the balancing of hormonal changes in women as well as assisting the immune system and the growth of new cells. It is also used in the processing and metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, while assisting with controlling your mood as well as your behavior. Pyridoxine might also be of benefit for children with learning difficulties, as well as assisting in the prevention of dandruff, eczema and psoriasis. Women in particular may suffer from pre-menstrual fluid retention, severe period pains, emotional PMS symptoms, premenstrual acne and nausea in early pregnancy. Mood swings, depression as well as loss of sexual drive is sometimes noted when pyridoxine is in short supply and the person is on hormone replacement therapy or on birth control pills. Irritability, nervousness and insomnia as well as general weakness, skin changes such as dermatitis and acne as well asthma and allergies might develop when pyridoxine is in short supply. Symptoms may include nails that are ridged, an inflamed tongue as well as changes to your bones - which can include osteoporosis and arthritis. Kidney stones may also appear. Males 2 mg per day and females 2 mg per day is the minimum that you require per day. Supplementation should be controlled as extreme dosage, such as in excess of 2,000 mg per day, may cause neurological damage. People on medication for Parkinson's disease should be careful about taking Vitamin B6 as it can inactivate levodopa.

Vitamin B-12
It's primary functions are in the formation of red blood cells and the maintenence of a healthy nervous system. B12 is necessary for the rapid synthesis of DNA during cell division. This is especially important in tissues where cells are dividing rapidly, particularly the bone marrow tissues responsible for red blood cell formation. If B12 deficiency occurs, DNA production is disrupted and abnormal cells called megaloblasts occur. This results in anaemia. B12 is also important in maintaining the nervous system. Nerves are surrounded by an insulating fatty sheath comprised of a complex protein called myelin. B12 plays a vital role in the metabolism of fatty acids essential for the maintainence of myelin. Prolonged B12 deficiency can lead to nerve degeneration and irreversible neurological damage. Vitamin B12 can be stored in small amounts by the body. Total body store is 2-5mg in adults. Around 80% of this is stored in the liver. The only reliable unfortified sources of vitamin B12 are meat, dairy products and eggs. The current nutritional consensus is that no plant foods can be relied on as a safe source of vitamin B12.

Folic Acid
Folic acid helps the body make healthy new cells. All women need folic acid. When a woman has enough folic acid before and during pregnancy, it can help prevent major birth defects of her baby?s brain or spine. Be sure to get enough folic acid every day. All women should aim to get at least 400 micrograms (400 mcg) of folic acid each day.

Siberian Ginseng
Best used to alleviate stress, fatigue, convalescence, and diabetes. Siberian ginseng is not only used for stress and fatigue, but is also believed to be helpful for a number of maladies including atherosclerosis, ulcerative colitis, and impaired kidney function.

Siberian ginseng may increase your body's resistance to stress and prevent certain types of illness. Siberian ginseng may be useful when used in connection with stress and body fatigue caused by viruses, bacteria, chemicals, extreme working conditions, noise, and pollution. It has also been suggested that Siberian ginseng may help the body to recuperate when recovering from illness.

Many people claim that Siberian ginseng is very useful for increasing mental and physical performance. Specifically, it has been reported that Siberian ginseng can help to increase concentration, focus, and physical stamina. However, to date, these claims have not been substantiated by empirical evidence.

Minerals:
Potassium
A good food source of potassium contains a substantial amount of potassium in relation to its calorie content and contributes at least 200 milligrams of potassium in a selected serving size. The food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences has estimated the minimum requirements for potassium for men and women over 18 years of age to be 2,000 milligrams per day. Potassium, a mineral, assists in muscle contraction and in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance in body cells. Potassium is also important in sending nerve impulses as well as releasing energy from protein, fat, and carbohydrates during metabolism. Potassium is lost in cooking some foods even under the best conditions. To retain potassium: .Cook foods in a minimal amount of water. .Cook for the shortest possible time.Potassium is lost in cooking some foods even under the best conditions.
