Made from strong, pre-shrunk, tightly woven 400 thread count organic cotton to protect you from dust and dust mites to 6 microns. Slip cover style with small toothed plastic zipper. The uniquely designed barrier-cloth covers shield your mattress, box spring or foundation, and pillows from harmful exposure to dust and dust mites. Unlike synthetic covers, our barrier-cloth is breathable and soft to the touch. The slipcover style slides on and off easily for convenient machine washing thanks to a durable plastic zipper that extends two thirds of the way around the bedding’s perimeter.

About Certified Organic Barrier Covers

Dust mites are nasty little critters that can cause a lot of discomfort for people who are sensitive or overexposed to them. Dust mites like a moister environment and like their name suggests, they like dust. Barrier covers protect your mattresses and pillows from these little critters entering them and laying their eggs in your bedding. Natural wool and natural rubber seem to also act to deter dust mites (which are about 100 microns) naturally. Our barrier cloth is a high 440 thread count SKAL certified organic cotton fabric that is then heat pressed to tighten the fibers to a 6 micron opening - recommended to protect against dust mites debris.. We do not contaminate our organic cotton by adding any chemicals or urethanes. Chemical-Free. There is no other company on this continent that can provide an organic barrier cover that is completely chemical-free. In addition, we do not dye our fabrics to make them look richer. WE prefer to keep out dyes whenever possible. We close our mattresses with our hard plastic zipper to keep those mites out. And our zipper zips on 3 sides for ease of use.  You may also use our fitted sheet style barrier for easier use in conjunction with a full protector for older mattresses or alone.
