Her handy 106 page guide tells you how to keep your pet in tip top condition by treating common problems with herbalism, homeopathy, acupuncture and other alternative therapies, as well as with traditional treatments. Also included are herbal remedies owners can try at home, simple solutions for behavioral problems and advice on coping with emergencies.

An experienced vet, Dr. Carol Osborne is well aware of the daily problems often encountered by dog owners. This handy guide tells you how to keep your pet in tip top condition by treating common problems with herbalism, homeopathy and other complimentary therapies, as well as with traditional treatments.

For many of us, our dogs are our best friends and most faithful companions. Knowing what health problems to look for and how to treat them, can be an asset. Although disorders and illnesses can affect your dog's head, eyes, skin and haircoat, digestion and internal organs, many conditions can be effectively treated at home.

This book takes a comprehensive look at what you can do to help your pet and clearly shows when you need to consult your vet, gives clear, expert advice on veterinary practices and procedures, outlining possible conventional remedies, provides guidance on herbal and homeopathic remedies that you or a professional practitioner can administer, shows how to recognize symptoms and warns against activities that may cause your dog injury or illness, deals with administering first aid to your dog in an emergency
